Using lenses with manual focus for confirmation of the focus. It’s something that I wished it had, since other cameras from Pentax and Panasonic have it. Since it should be fixable through the software, they could probably do that through a firmware.

While it’s true, that there are certain photographers in the crowd, that swear by a particular brand of camera, I’m not one of them. While I do have more Canons than any other, I also have a Kodak, Olympus, and Fuji floating around the house somewhere. Just getting my personal biases out in the open.

Now, many cameras do not have the ability to have a filter. If this is the case, no worries, Have a good pair of sunglasses handy, and you can use these as a replacement for the filter. Sounds dumb, but it works! Trust me, I’ve tried it.

If you ever had an inkling to start a brawl amongst a bunch of photographers, simply ask them which is the best camera brand to buy, an then leave the room. Nikon fan boys, the Canon fan boys, the Sony fan boys and the rest of the pack will never get to a single decision. Compact cameras are much more resistant usually, because the lens stays within the body of the camera when there is no need for it, plus the number of joints is smaller, so sand and water don’t sneak inside as easy.

Ok, so I took a little gander at the top camera review sites,to see what they had to say. And, I afraid I must admit, that it doesn’t look too good for the anti-Canon crowd. Canon seems to once again have garnered much praise from the critics.

Slingpacks and backpacks are used by photographers that have to take a lot of gear with them when they travel. These cameras work very well when you’re going on a longer trip and you take plenty of equipment with you, because you don’t know what you’ll need.

Digital SLR cameras on the other hand have a number of openings: the battery opening, the lens, the memory card and more. Any opening that a camera has is a potential place where the weather can affect the electronics of the digital camera.
